This barn started out as a 30×40 hand hewn timber frame and was added onto twice with two 20×30 additions. Both of the additions were built using hand hewn timbers but the unusual thing is that each addition has two complete bents so the structure could be lengthened from 80 ft. to 100 ft by separating the additions or moving them to a different arrangement than a straight line to make a “T” or and “L” shaped structure.
The rafters, roof and floor boards were not salvaged so will need to be replaced. All the timbers have been treated by Plunket’s Pest Control for insects including the siding and some extra timbers from the floor to be used as replacements. The price is $40,000 and includes three 8×10 carriage house doors with hardware.
